Supported Employment Opportunities

Community Connections is pleased to have a working relationship with Division for Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). The adults in our programs have the opportunity to be assessed by DVR to match the persons' skills to available jobs in the community. Once a match has been formed, Community Connections provides job coaching and supported employment to the person.

Every person in program has a vocational or day habilitation goal that will allow them to have a job of their choice, be independent and rely on their own income for living expenses. Employers who hire individuals with developmental disabilities will be fortunate to have an employee who will be responsible, reliable, and work diligently towards offering the best services to their employer. In addition a tax break is offered to the employer who hires someone with a disability. (NEED LINK)
